Refund & Validation Purchase Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026
This Policy explains how purchases work on Shiopp and when refunds may be available. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Operator: [Shiopp LLC]
Support: [support@shiopp.com]
Legal: [legal@shiopp.com]
1. What you are buying
Shiopp is a product-validation marketplace. When you pay for a validation (or similar) offer, you are generally purchasing:
- A signal of purchase intent recorded on the platform; and/or
- Access to digital features tied to that campaign (for example, feedback forms, updates, or community features when offered)
Unless a specific campaign page expressly states otherwise in writing, you are not purchasing:
- A finished physical good
- Guaranteed manufacture, inventory, or shipment
- A transferable equity or investment interest
- A promise that the creator will deliver a consumer product at a set date or price
Validation outcomes are uncertain. Creators may change, pause, or abandon concepts.
2. Merchant of record
For MVP validation payments processed through Stripe, [Shiopp LLC] (or its designated merchant entity) is the merchant of record unless checkout materials say otherwise. Creator payout splitting (e.g., Stripe Connect) is not part of the current MVP.
3. Pricing and charges
The amount due is shown at checkout. Currency will be stated in the payment flow. You authorize Stripe and us to charge the selected payment method. Failed or disputed payments may result in loss of access to paid features.
4. Refund eligibility
4.1 Digital validation access
Because validation purchases unlock intangible / digital access and marketplace signaling, all sales are final to the maximum extent permitted by law, except:
- Duplicate charges caused by a clear technical error on our side
- Charges for a purchase you did not authorize (subject to verification and card-network rules)
- Where we cancel a campaign or permanently fail to deliver a specifically promised digital unlock that was the sole object of the purchase
- Where mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction requires a refund (in which case that law controls)
4.2 How to request a review
Email [support@shiopp.com] within fourteen (14) days of the charge with: account email, approximate date, amount, and reason. We may request proof and Stripe/payment references. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible.
4.3 Chargebacks
Contact us before filing a chargeback so we can help. Unjustified chargebacks may lead to account suspension. We will respond to disputes with transaction records as appropriate.
5. Creator campaigns
Creators do not set Shiopp’s refund rules for platform-processed validation payments unless we publish a campaign-specific addendum. Misrepresentation by a creator may lead to Take-Down and, at our discretion, refund or credit decisions consistent with this Policy and the Terms.
6. Taxes
Displayed prices may exclude applicable taxes. Any tax collected will appear in checkout or invoices when enabled.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a revised version. The version in effect at the time of purchase generally applies to that purchase, except where law requires otherwise.
