1. Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe content on Shiopp infringes your copyright, send a written notice to [dmca@shiopp.com] that includes all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple)
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to locate it (URL of the product or media preferred)
- Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed
Incomplete notices may delay or prevent action.
2. Our response (take-down)
Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we may remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the user who posted it. We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
3. Counter-notification
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to [dmca@shiopp.com] including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material removed and where it appeared before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or Wyoming federal courts if outside the U.S.), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent
After a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action as provided by the DMCA.
4. Misrepresentation
Submitting false claims may expose you to liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and other law. Only the copyright owner or an authorized agent should file notices.
5. Other IP concerns
Trademark or other IP issues that are not copyright may be reported to [legal@shiopp.com]. We may take Take-Down action under our Terms even where the DMCA does not apply.
